Is this a joke? What’ on the menu, fried eggs and cornmeal? I know I wont find a steak in there. Do I need to bring my rations book. Is this place just for tourists or can regular Cubans eat there? Why dont you put your restaurant in Miami or Union City??

Funny thing is, this place and its owner would probably be squashed like a bug in today’ Cuba for “unrevolutionary capitalism,” especially if they competed with a nearby state owned restaurant.  At best they would be strapped with oppressive rates of taxation and zealous governmental oversight after eduring endless lines of bureacratic mumbo-jumbo just to open their door.  A great irony.
