The Havana National Fine Arts Museum, permanent repository of Cubas very best cultural values, is ready to reopen to the public Saturday, July 15, after a restoration period.

Coincident with the reopening, director of the institution Moraima Clavijo announced the presentation of “Que paso? related to the memories gathered along the five years since the prior reopening.

The book, to be given as a present to those visiting the museum on reopening day, will serve as a major reference for experts and interested people, as it contains all the information on the works that made the center one of the most outstanding of its type in the world.

There will also be an anthological exhibit of 21 works by artists Ramos Enriquez (Spain and Cuba) representing his different creative moments.

Another exhibit recognizes the 50th anniversary of late painter Domingo Ramos reflections on the Viales Valley, the creators favorite place due to its unique topography, and those of other places in the island brilliantly grasped by Ramos Enriquez shrewd pupil.

The National Fine Arts Museum will remain open during Julys public holidays, except on Wednesday the 26, when it will offer its services to a group of special guests.
