Tenth Victory of Cuban Athlete in Marabana 2003 - Havana Marathon

Havana.- The Cuban athlete Emperatriz Wilson finished first for the tenth time at the 17th Marabana’2003 Race, winning the 42-km competition.

Wilson led the race all the time and clocked 2:46.20 hours, thus qualifying for the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, in 2004.

The outstanding runner was escorted by Yailen García (2:47.11 hours) and Yudmila Dubbois (2:54.13). Yosbel Arboláez won the men’s race, clocking 2:32.40 hours.

Arboláez reached the finish line ahead of the favorite runner, Alexis Cuba (2:34.01), and Angel Laudinot (2:34.09).

In the half marathon race, Mariela González finished in the first place, clocking 1:15.30 hours, while in the men’s race the winner was Aguelmis Rojas, who clocked 1:04.39 hours.

As you can see from this post, many people would like to register but Cuba just doesn’t work that way. If you go to Cuba you can ask around but if you don’t know how and where to register, you are probably not able to register.
