The 7th Havana Cigar International Festival, scheduled for February 2005, will be dedicated to the Cuban brand Partagás.

Cigar experts pointed out that Partagás, as well as Hoyo de Monterrey, Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo, will celebrate their 160th anniversary.

For the first time, the festival will hold the Night of the Distributor, which on this occasion will be organized by exclusive vendors of Cuban cigars in Canada.

Participants in the festival will tour tobacco fields and the Tobacco Research Institute, among other activities included in the program.

The delegates will also visit the Partagás factory, which was founded by Don Jaime Partagás, a Spanish immigrant, in 1845, and where they will talk with tobacco rollers and executives.
