Havana.- An auction of three cigar humidors marked the conclusion of the program of activities on the 10th anniversary of Casa del Habano Partagás, run by the company Habana, owned by Universo shops.

The auction was held at the Meliá Habana Hotel, and was attended by some 300 cigar aficionados from all over the world.

Mexico’s Hector Santana paid 6,400 dollars for the first humidor, which had a decoration showing the history of cigars and was created by the Spanish firm Humidif. It contained 39 Lusitania Partagás cigars, which is the best-selling brand.

The second humidor, a joint creation between the Cuban firm Arca and Humidif, was a tribute to the 84-year-old Cuban tobacco grower Alejandro Robaina, and contained 84 cigars. It was bought by Italy’s Roberto Diserio, in 13,500 dollars.

Frank Nisemboing, from the United States, bought the third humidor, containing 100 cigars, in 15,000 dollars.

The cigars were made on the basis of the best-selling brands by the Partagás House during this decade (Lusitanias, Cuaba Salomon, Montecristo No.2, Romeo y Julieta Churchill, Cohiba Siglo IV, Serie D No.4, La Gloria Cubana, Robainas Familiares, and Petit Coronas de Partagás).

I have an unopened box of 1945 La Carona Alvarez de Lopez cigars.
Do you know of any parties I might write to who might be interested in purchasing?

Thank you.
