hi friends

As some of you may know, I’m assisting in organizing programs in Cuba. These programs follow the guidelines laid out by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury Department.

Our next program is the Havana Drum Festival program, November 1 - 15, 2003. I hope to continue organizing these trips in 2003, and hopefully in 2004. This depends, of course, on licensing availability from the United States Department of the Treasury.

Our Festival program is divided into one two week program or two one week programs.

Week one, Nov. 1-8, is in Havana and Santiago de Cuba. We’ll be studying drums and percussion in both cities, and also we’ll become involved with many cultural affairs in both cities.

Nov. 8-15 we’ll be in Havana for the Drum Festival program. Our days will be filled with music experiences and also other cultural events, i.e. visiting religious ceremonies, women’s groups, cultural organizations, etc.

Our schedules for both weeks will be very, very busy, filled with amazing experiences with the Cuban people, with music, and with an amazing life in Cuba!
