Havana.- The Cuban capital hosted the 12th Workshop on Marketing and Sales of Havana Cigars this month, with the participation of 80 distributors of that product.
According to sources close to the meeting, the distributors of premium cigars attending the meeting work in over 180 countries, where Cuba’s 33 brands of cigars are commercialized.
In that regard, experts pointed out that sales go as planned despite the difficult international economic situation.
The meeting was an excellent occasion to present new advertising articles for 2004, as well as a catalog of brands and a training CD for those interested in learning about the world of Cuban cigars.
In addition, participants were briefed on the 6th Havana Cigar Festival, scheduled for February 2004 and dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the brand Trinidad.
Executives from the corporation Habanos S.A. noted that the brand Guantanamera, which was presented in October 2002, is winning adepts among cigar aficionados from Europe and America
