Havana.- The Original de Manzanillo Orchestra, founded in the Cuban eastern city of the same name, has its own recording studio, equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
According to experts, the San Jose Studio released its first CD, containing 12 songs presented at the “Rayitos de Sol” Music Festival, an annual event to promote children’s music and singers in the province.
The new studio is equipped with a 32-channel digital console that can be enlarged to 128 channels.
The studio, which resulted from the Original de Manzanillo Orchestra’s own effort, will pave the way for the development of musical creation in eastern Cuba.
Founded in December 21, 1963, the Original de Manzanillo Orchestra, has made over 50 international tours and is widely known by such songs as “En Cuba el son no se ha muerto”, “A mi tierra”, “Mi sombrero de yarey” and “El caracol”.
