Havana.- The Cuban film “Nada” (Nothing), by the moviemaker Juan Carlos Cremata, won the Jury’s Grand Award at Miami’s International Film Festival.
According to specialized critics, the film received that award because of its combination of popular traditions, complex cinematographic style and human sense.

The film tells the story of a post office employee who rewrites the letters she receives to straight up other people’s lives. “Nada”, starred in by Thais Valdes and Nassiry Lugo, a musician who debuted as an actor in the film, has received other awards in several international festivals.

They include an award at the 28th Ibero-American Film Festival in Huelva, Spain, and the best opera prima award at the 14th San Juan Cinemafest, in Puerto Rico.
