Havana.- The Cuban musician Ibrahim Ferrer, one of the members of the musical project known as Buena Vista Social Club, presented its latest CD, entitled “Buenos Hermanos” (Good Brothers).

For this record, Ferrer invited “Flaco” Jimenez, a tex-mex musician from Texas, and the Blind Boys of Alabama, resulting in an excellent combination of traditional music with new sonorities.

“Buenos Hermanos” also features Manuel Galvn, who plays the electric guitar and the organ, and Chucho Valdes, who played the piano in such songs as “La msica cubana”, “Hay que entrarle a palos a ese”, “Fuiste cruel” and “Boliviana”.

Ferrer is also accompanied by other Buena Vista Social Club members, including Cachaito Lopez (bass), Amadito Valdes (bongos), Demetrio Muiz (trombone) and “Guajiro” Mirabal (trumpet).

The world-renowned Cuban musician is currently on a tour of Europe, America and Africa.
