Havana.- An 11-strong boxing team from Cuba kicked off a training tour of Europe this month, including competitions in Germany and France.

Cuban boxing officials said that the team is headed by Yorman Rodríguez, in the 48-kg division, in addition to Andri Laffita (51), Ariel Maturel (54), Vladimir Linares (81), Maikel Perez (69) and Ismaikel Perez (81).
Other team members are Eugenio Fonseca (57), Freddy Masabo (60), Emilio Correa (64), Sullivan Barrera (75) and Noel Perez Bio (91).

Eight other athletes from the junior category have been training in Europe since last month, and have won one gold and one bronze medals by countries in a tournament held in Volgograd.

In addition, a first-class Cuban boxing team is participating this month in the Usti Nad Labem Tournament, in the Czech Republic.
