Havana.- A total of 103 Cuban athletes have qualified for the Olympic Games, scheduled for August 2004 in Athens, Greece.
Officials from the Cuban Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) pointed out that athletes in 13 sports have qualified for the summer games in the Greek capital.
The list of sports includes swimming, archery, athletics, boxing, canoe, artistic gymnastics, wrestling, rowing, tae kwon do, shooting, judo, baseball and women’s volleyball.
However, they added, more sports may be added to the list during the first few months of 2004, because Cuba will participate in several Olympic qualifiers.
