The Cuban company Cubanacán Turismo y Salud has reported good results, considering the increasing demand for health services in the Caribbean Island.

According to preliminary statistics, the company attended to more than 5,000 visitors from 38 countries who traveled to Cuba from January to September to receive medical treatments.

Company executives pointed out that 1,700 vacationers also benefited from medical treatments at specialized health centers in Cuba.

Cubanacán Turismo y Salud has signed contracts with companies from 40 countries, mostly in the Americas, with the exception of the United States, as well as in the Caribbean and Europe.

Visitors mainly come from Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, Chile, Bahamas, Jamaica, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

The company attended to 9,000 visitors last year, who received medical treatments in orthopedics, general surgery, cosmetic surgery, cardiology and pediatrics.
