Havana.- Cuba won for the fifth time the 6th Pan-American Junior Baseball Championship, held in Curacao, the Netherlands Antilles.

During the game for the first place, Cuba defeated the United States 8 runs by 3.

According to experts, the Tio Daou Stadium was the right scenario for baseball fans to enjoy both teams’ excellent performances. The Cubans scored five runs in the fifth inning, which were decisive to win the game.
Panama finished third, followed by Venezuela, so the four teams will represent America in the world cup in Chinese Taipei next year.

In Taipei, the Cubans will defend the world title, which they won two years ago in Canada.
