It is expected that several thousands of people of different ages from the eastern province of Las Tunas participate in the run of the marathon Maracuba 2004 which will take place simultaneously in the whole island next November 13th.

He explained that in the traditional sport party of four kilometers long as in previous editions men and women could participate without distinction of ages, as well as physical-motor handicapped people in wheel chairs, and visually weak and hypoacoustic persons.

The same as last year - he said - five circuits for runs will be enabled in this city, located in the main residential neighborhoods, whlie the main one will include great part of the historical downtown of this city, with start and finish at the central square Jose MartÝ.

Maracuba 2004, a unique project of its type in the orb dedicated to November 19th, Day of the Physical Culture and the Sport in the island, will begin in a simultaneous way in the 169 municipalities of the country at 10:00 in the morning and the voice of starting up will be given through the national radio station Radio Reloj.

That run is the hall of the marathon Marabana, main classic of that discipline in the nation, which will take place one day later in City of the Havana.
