Cuba’s central bank on Saturday introduced a new three-peso note bearing a likeness of revolutionary hero Che Guevara on the 37th anniversary of his death.

The note has a picture of the legendary Argentine-born Cuban guerrilla on the front, and another of him cutting sugar cane on the back, updating an earlier version that has proven a hit with collectors.

Guevara became president of the Banco Nacional de Cuba after the revolution.

Guevara is the subject of a new film based on his journals called The Motorcycle Diaries starring Gael Garcia Bernal as the young Che.
