The premiere of “Barrio Cuba”, the latest by outstanding Cuban filmmaker Humberto Solas, will take place in the Spielberg Auditorium and the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood on November 1.

The announcement was made by US attorney and spokesperson for the production company, Stephen Rivers, who made possible the visits to Cuba of Steven Spielberg, Kevin Costner, Chris Lawford and other movie stars.

Barrio Cuba, which stars popular Cuban actors Isabel Santos, Mario Limonta and Aurora Basnuevo, tells the stories of seven people living in humble housing in Havana who are searching for love.

Humberto Solas is considered one of the most important representatives of the New Latin American Movie. He skyrocketed to fame with such films as Lucia, Manuela, Miel para Ochun and Un hombre de exito, among others.
