An exhibition of 23 original oil paintings of the Oriente Region of Cuba will be at Cuba Gallery of Fine Art, May 17th- 31st 11am-6pm Monday-Saturday (appointments on Sundays)
This Exhibit will have available to the public paintings by the finest landscape artists of the region, their works have toured the U.S. and have been seen on PBS in the film ” Luminous Shadows, The Artists of Eastern Cuba”

The Goddard Center for the Arts of Ardmore, Oklahoma has acquired a painting by: Alfredo Rodriguez Cedeno of Bayamo, Cuba.
The painting was acquired through cubanart.org and the Eastern Cuba Cultural Exchange. The center is headed up Maria Parrott who with the help of staff and community support has put this Art Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma on the cultural map of great venues for the community and the state.

Neuzeitfilm Solutions of Frankfurt has signed an agreement with Arte de Cuba Publishing to distribute “ Luminous Shadows, The Artists of Eastern Cuba”. Neuzeitfilm expects to distribute the 45-minute documentary for broadcast and DVD sales in over 20 countries in Europe, Australia,New Zealand and Japan. The distribution of the film in the EU is a great chance for the artists of this little known region of Cuba to get their artistic message out to the rest of the world. Mulvane Art Museum to Host Art from Eastern Cuba
In partnership with the Meridian International Center and Eastern Cuba Cultural Exchange, Mulvane Art Museum in Topeka Kansas will present an exhibition of work by artists from the Oriente (eastern) region of Cuba beginning on March 26 through June 8 2007. Entitled Cuba Oriente: Contemporary Painting from Eastern Cuba, the exhibition includes 60 exceptionally rich and vibrant works from what is often described as the heartland of Cuban culture.
