The Latino Coalition Honors The Most Influential Hispanics

The Board of Directors of The Latino Coalition (TLC) announced today their “Gran Fiesta Hispana Salsa Party” will be held on Tuesday, August 31st in New York City during the Republican National Convention, honoring the most influential Hispanics in the U.S.. The event will be held from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at The Rainbow Room, located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza 65th Floor.

“This will be a fun memorable celebration to highlight the increasing diversity in the Republican Party and honoring some of the most influential Hispanics in the U.S.,” said TLC President Robert G. de Posada. “These individuals are key to helping Hispanics across the country to continue breaking barriers and serve as role models for Hispanic youth.”

The honorees are: entertainer Emilio Estefan, boxer Oscar de la Hoya, TV personality Don Francisco, actor/singer Carlos Ponce, Nevada Attorney General Brian Sandoval, baseball players Alex Rodriguez and Rafael Palmeiro, Congressmen Henry Bonilla and Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Banco Popular Chairman Richard Carrion, businessman Raul Romero, the Honorable Hector Barreto, the Honorable Richard Carmona, businessman Jose Canchola, People Magazine’s Peter Castro, Univision’s President Ray Rodriguez, Blue Cross of California Vice President Josh Valdez, and Hewlett-Packard’s Vice President Marcela Perez de Alonzo.

The Latino Coalition hosted a highly successful a similar event in Boston on July 28th with the attendance of over 1,400 guests. For security reasons, media credentials and pre-registration will be required. For more information, please call Barry Huey at 703-684-5100.

I strongly support latino association,because that way em-
powerd latin people,and as minority we need of that so much.
