Havana.- Central Sancti Spiritus province will benefit from the introduction of new telephone technologies in a near future.

As part of the modernization of communications, a new digital telephone center will be installed in the provincial capital.

In addition to the city of Sancti Spiritus, Trinidad, the town of Casilda and the Ancon Peninsula will also have digital telephone centers.

The communications upgrade will increase the number of telephone lines in almost the entire region, since some improvements will be made in other towns where old analogical plants will continue to operate.

The modernization program also includes the use of fiber optic, digitalized microwave links and other works aimed at improving communications.
Sancti Spiritus will be the twelfth province in the country to have digital telephone communications, which are faster and more reliable.
