Carlos Lage attends signing of agreements between Cuba and Kuwait

Havana, Jul 24 (AIN) Carlos Lage, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Ministers Counci,l attended today the signing of three economic collaboration agreements between Cuban ministries and the Kuwaitian Foundation for Economic Development.

The signatures in the three documents will allow the Island to grant a US$ 10 million 70,000 credit, to carry out the modernization and rehabilitation of the aqueduct of Santiago de Cuba Hero City, located in the western part of Cuba.

Bader Al-Humaidhi, President of the Kuwaitian Foundation, and Jacobo Peison, President of the Cuban Foreign Bank, Ana Luisa Castellanos, Vice-minister for Finances and Prices, and Jorge Aspiolea, president of the Hydraulic Resources National Institute, signed the agreements.

In three years we have agreed to do our best to end this work in the Hero city, which also is an example of the collaboration between two South American nations, and a honorable homage to the venue of the 50th Anniversary of the Historic Assault to the Moncada Garrison, Aspiloea confirmed.

The leader also thanked the Cuban people, mainly those who live in Santiago de Cuba, and the government for the Kuwaitian cooperation, which will continue in the future, he confirmed.
