Raul Castro meets with Vietnam Minister of Construction

Nguyen Hong Quan heads the Vietnamese delegation to the 25th Session of the Cuba-Vietnam Inter-governmental Commission

Cuban First Vice President Raúl Castro received Vietnamese Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan who is heading his country’s delegation at the 25th Session of the Cuba-Vietnam Inter-governmental Commission in Havana.

During the meeting, which took place in a warm and fraternal atmosphere, the two leaders discussed the excellent state of political relations and ties of friendship that unite both peoples. Both sides expressed their satisfaction over the results of the 25th Session, which represents a significant advance in the development of economic, commercial and technical-scientific relations. They stated their determination to raise these ties to the same level as political relations.

The Vietnamese minister sent greetings from the top leaders of his country to the Cuban people.

The Vietnamese delegation included Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba, Vu Chi Cong, Inter-governmental Commission Secretary Nguyen Van Hoa and Deputy Chief of the Minister of Construction’s Office Le Van Toi. The Cuban delegation included Vice-president of the Council of State Carlos Lage Dávila and Government Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz who is also the co-chair of the Intergovernmental Commission for Cuba.
