The Jardines del Rey International Airport, on Cayo Coco, receives 22 flights carrying foreign vacationers from different parts of the world every week.

According to sources from the sector, the flights mainly come from Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Argentina and Italy, which are the main sources of tourists visiting Jardines del Rey (King’s Gardens).

In addition, experts predicted that flights will increase to 30 every week during the ongoing peak tourist season.

The Canadian companies Transat and Columbus, and Britain’s Thomas Cook are among the main airlines flying to Jardines del Rey.

A direct flight linking the French capital, Paris, with Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo was inaugurated in December 2004.

The Jardines del Rey International Airport, which opened in 2003, received the ISO-9001/2000 certificate, due to the high quality of its services.
