Havana.- The French company Bouchard Pere et Fils, founded over 200 years ago, is present in the Cuban market with several brands of wine.
Firm executives pointed out that the company started operations in Cuba several months ago, through the import firm Albur S.A.

The French firm supplies 15 of its 120 products, and expects to expand its offers in Cuba in a short term.

Bouchard is the largest vineyard owner in Bourgogne, one of the oldest and most prestigious areas in France, where they mainly produce Premier and Gran Crú, which are the best brands.

Bourgogne, where grape has been cultivated for over 2,000 years, is 300 kilometers (186 miles) south of Paris and is characterized by extreme climates ranging from very cold winters and hot summers.

Wines are a major product in the leisure industry, based on the increasing arrivals of European vacationers and the growing demand for that product in luxury gastronomic establishments.
