Havana.- Representatives from 27 countries are attending Havana’s 9th International Meeting on Informatics this month.
According to sources from the organizing committee, the event’s program includes an exhibition of the latest technologies in the fields of informatics, electronics and communications.
INFORMATICS’2003 will host a dozen of scientific events, which will be held parallel to the International Fair on Informatics, Communications and Industrial Automation, which is aimed at promoting and commercializing software, technologies and electrical appliances.
Experts from the United States, Ecuador, Italy, Panama, Canada, Costa Rica, Spain, Chile, France, Great Britain and Peru, among other countries, gather at the fair, which covers an area of over 2,000-square meters (21,528 square feet)
The fair, one of the most important events on informatics in Latin America, was held every other year from 1988 to 2002.
Starting this year, the fair will be held annually, taking into account the experts’ growing interest in the field, and the wide range of sectors related to informatics.
