The Laboratory of Liquid and Powder Pharmaceuticals in Bayamo, in the eastern Cuban province of Granma, is expected to recognize its products as equivalent to the best medications in the world.

According to experts, the center is one of the major pharmaceutical laboratories in the country and guarantees high-quality standards in the production process.

The lab produces and packages about 30 drugs in the form of suspensions, solutions, syrups, drops and powder, which are sold all over the country.

Over the next few months, the laboratory will produce new lines of medicines, including Potassium Chloride, Ibuprofen (suspension) and Loratadine, as part of a strategy to complete the country’s basic therapeutic supply of medications.

The factory, which opened in 2000 and was officially inaugurated a year later, has an indoor area of over 29,000 square meters.
