The 7th Entrepreneurial Excellency Award, called by Havana authorities, has attracted companies from different sectors.

On this occasion, experts said, 24 companies have applied for the Award, although more requirements regarding quality, accountability and environmental certification were added this year.

Eleven of those companies, including the restaurants El Palenque and La Bodeguita del Medio, will qualify for the audit phase. Other candidates are INTERMAR, Prácticos Habana and EMPROY-2.

As an example, experts said that EMPROY-2, a leading company in architectural and engineering projects, has 25 years of experience in the field.

They added that 90 percent of the works carried out by EMPROY-2 consists of reconstruction and remodeling of hospitals, and sports, cultural and social facilities.
