The Cuban Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Eumelio Caballero Rodriguez, has praised the Algerian donations estimated at two million dollars following the hurricanes that hit Cuba.
Speaking at the first press conference he held in Algiers, Ambassador Rodriguez has indicated that the partnership between Algeria and Cuba is focusing on programs of genealogy and pediatrics with satisfactory results.
He further unveiled a project aimed at constructing seven high technology ophthalmology hospitals, of which the first one has been launched last April in Djelfa Algeria.
Before visiting the camps of the Sahrawi refugees in Tindouf southwest province and meeting with the Sahraoui President Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, the Cuban diplomat announced that Cuba is disposed to receive more Sahraoui medical students noting that five hundred are now studying in Cuba.
