Bodegas del Caribe S.A., a Cuban-Spanish joint venture, has a thick portfolio of offers that have allowed the company to gain ground in the market of the Caribbean Island.

The firm commercializes several wine brands, including Castillo del Wajay, Palacio de Arganza, Seoro de Pealba, Seoro de la Antigua, Torre Modejar and Alba Real.

Company executives said that Bodegas del Caribe S.A. will soon bottle Spanish wines in Cuba, with an eye to entering the Caribbean market.

As part of the company’s expansion strategy, the firm opened an agency in Guardalavaca Beach, in Holgun province, in order to supply wines to eastern Cuba.

The experts recalled that Bodegas del Caribe has developed vineyards in Banao, Wajay and Batabano, in order to reduce imports of raw materials.

Due to the good results of that initiative, the company will produce nearly one million bottles of wine next year, and four million bottles in 2007.
